A brief overview of my work until May 2021 in both cinematography and Direction.

This film was produced in early 2019, The idea came from my own experiences of depression and contemplating the effects it would have on those closest to me. I do not own any of the music used. The song is O by Coldplay

TW: Self Harm To me ADHD has always been more than just a learning disorder, it's not something that just lives in my brain, it controls my body, my emotions, my reactions. ADHD controls and dictates every part of my existence. When I was diagnosed it was like someone had handed me a dictionary explaining the past 17 years of my life, suddenly the things that I thought were just strange traits and differences started to make sense. My brain started to make sense. I could name 1000 good things that came from getting diagnosed (the understanding of who I actually was being the biggest) but I could also name 1000 bad as well. ADHD wasn't the label I was expecting, in my head, ADHD was a label for the kids who were too loud, who didn't get good grades, the ones who stole my lunch and kicked me in the shins. It wasn’t the label to be given to the quiet girl who sat at the front of the class and spent her lunches in the library, the kid who never got detention and loved parents' evenings. It took getting diagnosed to understand that ADHD looks different on everyone. The meltdowns, the tics, the hyper focusing, the creativity, the panic attacks - They all came from nerve endings and chemicals hiding behind my eyes. ADHD shouldn’t become a stereotype, it is something too broad to stereotype, something too complicated and vast to fit into a small box created by those who don’t understand it. ADHD is that part of my brain that pores glitter onto everything. It makes some things far more complicated, but it makes everything far more interesting too.
